CHRISTOPHER SPALLINA NJ ProgramManager|The Phoenix
Chris Spallina is the ProgramManager and Meditation instructor for The Phoenix New Jersey. A person in sustained recovery since May 24, 2018, Chris found The Phoenix while in treatment and transitioned from a member/volunteer to full-time employee. He found his calling in sharing what he has learned in his personal journey of recovery with all who may benefit. Chris enjoys yoga, meditation, mountain biking, and gardening.
MATTHEWSTEFANKO Director, National Stigma Initiative | Shatterproof
Matthew Stefanko is the Director, National Stigma Initiative for Shatterproof where he leads the organization’s effort to combat stigma nationally. Prior to Shatterproof, Matthew was the Associate Director for Strategy and Programs at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Before PPFA, Matthew worked in management consulting. He has also served as the Interim City Director in Jacksonville and Dallas for the workforce development nonprofit, Generation and previously worked in local government at the Baltimore City Health Department. Matthew has a dual degree in Economics & Government from Cornell University. He serves on the board of Anabel’s Grocery, a nonprofit store addressing food insecurity, which he co-founded. He is based inWashington D.C.
RACHEL TAYLOR LMTI Supervisor |Partners in Prevention, The Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute (LMTI)
Rachel is a proud product of the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute (Alumni ’09)! She holds a Bachelor’s in Music Therapy fromMontclair State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public and Organizational Relations. They believe that prevention education is most effective when youth are engaged in creative and meaningful ways and aim to bring a little bit of fun to everything they facilitate.
PRIYA VULCHI Social Entrepreneur & Student Activist | Founder of CHOOSE
Priya Vulchi is one of the founders of the racial literacy non-profit CHOOSE, student activist, and one of the authors of Tell Me Who You Are—which was written after traveling to all 50 states to interview people about race and intersectionality. In 2019, Priya andWinona were named two of Teen Vogue’s 21 under 21 Young People Changing the World. Currently, she is a junior at Princeton University.
